I don't remember her taking any tests after PSLE. Strange that they have these tests and keep it so mysterious.

Oic.....But not every sch go thru these tests.....
Or isit they do it on alternate yrs ??

We didn't hear anything about this last year now that you mentioned it. The tests are different papers from PSLE right? Maybe it's next year's PSLE draft papers. Hahah! Maybe they're testing to see if the papers are of the right difficulty. :rotflmao:[/quote]Of coz diff test papers fr psle lah.....haha

Oh yes, another piece of info....
My gal was told today by the sch that their class (being selected) is expected
to take another maths test trial paper by moe after their EOY exams......
They were being told that ....\" it's compulsory that all citizens and pr who had taken their PSLE have to take this maths trial paper...\"

So up to u guys here to link up.....
Is there any purpose /reason of asking the PSLE pupils to take the test papers after PSLE and
      2 yrs after PSLE ?? šŸ˜‰

****Think more likely for some study/collection of statistics ****

Is it set at PSLE standards or Sec 2 standards? Strange lah. They should at least let the kids and parents know the reason behind the test. The kids must be so sian having to take a test after their PSLE and EOYs.

At my son's school today, the whole P6 level was asked to sit a psle test paper (the whole paper 1hr 40min) under test conditions with invigilators from SEAB. Would anyone know the reason for this extra test? is it like a control or something? very puzzling.

It did happen to my gal' s yr too (2009), was puzzled when she told me abt it.....
Understand that not every school go thru these......wonder is there any changes.....

Hi it happened for my son too. I can't recall DS1's tine in 2009.

First time hearing this - tests after PSLE and in Year 2! Seems like a case of MOE trying to right size the PSLE papers. If the exercise started in 2009 and now the same 2009 batch has to take some Math paper, then it could be somewhat related to the big hooha over the v tough 2009 Math PSLE paper(?). To collect data and gauge the variance between PSLE Math score and current Year 2 Math score.

Think they will give advance notice otherwise the children may not bring along the caculator after the PSLE.
