Huahin is a very relaxed place. I had been there twice and think it is much better than Phuket which is too commercialised with all the angmohs. You have to take into account the journey from bkk to huahin which is at least 3 hrs (with no stop). There is a shopping mall and 2 nite markets if I'm not wrong, a beach near the Sofitel hotel where you can ride the ponies. There are lots of shops offering massages mani & pedicures. Plenty of nice seafood and pizzas & spaghatti. You go there just to relax and do nothing else.

      Hi leesf,

May I know how did you book your trips to Hua Hin? I don't see it being advertised as a tour destination by agencies nowadays. Is the place suitable for teens (ie. around 15yrs old)? What are the recommended activities to do there? Thanks.

          Hi

I am back from Hua Hin and bangkok. Overall my children enjoy their holiday at hua hin because we bring them to elephant ride and horse ride at beach. For Pula Waterfall, i find not very suitable for too young children. We only went for level 1 and give up because my sis and my children are too young to enjoy. Steep climbing. We even stayed 3 days at bangkok to shop. My hubby want to tailor his clothes. We saw Edmuand chen and Xiang Yun family at the shop. They are very friendly. For us ladies went over plantinum mall to shop and shop. Shop till we drop.

With children i think it will be great if we can arrange some places of interest for them to visit.

For those planning a trip to Thailand do update on the flood situation before you travel… …

Things are getting a little kancheong even in downtown Bangkok. People are stocking groceries and retail shops are ‘planning’ their closures just in case liao…

Most welcome Yong HL.. .. 😄

Just spoke to people in Bangkok.. ...it is not over, really tensed up..
Airport will be affected too, and quite soon if the banks can't hold..
Hope Central Bangkok can be spared from the flood.. :xedfingers:

Bangkok is rather chaotic now and the domestic Don Mueang airport area experiencing knee-high flooding… Really not a good time to go with all the frustrations and mess…not for a while…

Especially the crocodiles are on the loose! 😮

I’m supposedly going there early November, but if no announcement from MFA, I cannot get a refund for my flight right?
