Today My ds has to sit for the test too !! :scratchhead: :?

      Hi Ms Tay,

Which subject is your son taking?

      Maths[/quote]

His teacher says MOE explained that they just want to test their ability and use it as a guide line to set the next year psle paper .
But I don't think it make sense at all :siao:
Why don't they use this year psle paper as a guide line ??
(it will be more accurate as psle paper is for all the p6s cohort in Singapore)

I think should be the other way round ... Next yr students will be the guinea pig... As it might be easy for your kid but not for others šŸ˜‰ ... Just joking ... :siam:

                Snow Crystal:
First time hearing this - tests after PSLE and in Year 2! Seems like a case of MOE trying to right size the PSLE papers. If the exercise started in 2009 and now the same 2009 batch has to take some Math paper, then it could be somewhat related to the big hooha over the v tough 2009 Math PSLE paper(?). To collect data and gauge the variance between PSLE Math score and current Year 2 Math score.

maybe to show that the 2009 paper was actually secondary school standard ... beyond most of the kids ... killer paper. Had they taken a year or two later, it would not have been a problem. 🤷

this extra paper could be the reserve set of papers. for every national exam, there is always a reserve set in case the first one gets leaked.
