But not dd. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

It's already very good that she's a Gepper. What more can you ask for? :salute: :salute:
I'll be over the moon if DD's at the top 1%, but this is almost impossible. šŸ˜‰

I don't ask a lot from my dd. So long as she puts in her best effort and is happy, I'm happy. I always tell her, one mountain got one mountain higher. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

        Hi Parents,

Are the GEP selection test rigorous enough to select only the gifted?
My child is worried that he may barely pass the test or he may pass mainly due to luck.
He did not welcome the idea of being the bottom few in the class.
He is worried that working on projects will neglect his studies.
He feels unsure that he is able to maintain an average score of 75% up to PSLE for DSA purposes.

Your DS is so different with my DD.

My DD want to go GEP because she was told there are a lot of fun activities for GEP students, and she likes to work on projects... šŸ˜‚

        Hi ctct61t,

My child has done a few projects (non-examinable subjects) and did not enjoy working in groups that do not possess group dynamics. He also commented that he could have used these project time on his studies (or relaxation).

Sorry I forgot the name of the school, but their school will arrange shuttle bus to go there.

Wow, so nice of the school to charter a bus for them. DD's school has around 80 or more going for round 2, but no chartered buses. šŸ˜‰

May I know your DD is in which school? So good with 80 more for 2nd round!

              Just4Fun:
Mensa targets at top 2% of the general population.

GEP intake targets at top 1% P3 level !!!
So for every 100ppl, two belongs to Mensa std .
For every 2 mensa ppl, only one belongs to GEP std .
So one can imagine how tough it is to get into GEP round 2.
So dear parents, take it easy, and not to stress our children too much !
              Hi Just4Fun,

              Thank you for the information.

No, 2009's top scorer was Syafiqah. Also GEP. šŸ˜‰
Top 2009 is Qiu Biqing with 290 points. She is from China and unlikely to in GEP.
Top Malay pupil is Syafiqah Nabilah Shamshera with 286 points.
