1. you can browse asiatravel.com for the hotels; ymca salisbury is a hotel, not a youth hostel, it is relatively cheap and good, if you can get a booking. it is near to tsinshatsui mrt, next to the peninsula, surrounded by nathan road / canton road shopping and eatingI'll be traveling to HK in early Nov. Appreciate some advice :
1. Which are the 3 or 4 star recommended hotels in Kowloon (pref near to MTR stations)? Also, is there any with family rooms (2 adults + 2 children)?
2. Thinking of visiting Macau on free & easy. Will it be easy to travel around?
3. Anyone has visited Zhuhai (in China) during your HK trips? Is it worth visiting?
2. just go and take a ferry there, one departure every half hour or one hour, the ferry ride is about an hour long; there is ferry terminal at canton road, walking distance from ymca salisbury, i think is 5th floor of the Gateway Building....connected to prince hotel shopping mall, or take from HK side

Hi Micollh
The last time I didnt check in my stroller as I was still using it inside departure hall. I just passed it to the stewardess who stored it away for me.
Over in HK airport the staff will leave the stroller outside (on the sky bridge as you walk out of the aircraft). So no trouble at all.
I kept it with me cos I find easier and faster to move with kid in the stroller at the airports. I was also worried it might get damaged if I checked it in. -

To answer your question 1 re accommodation for 2 adults and 2 kids.
My kids are 10 and 11 so it's either 2 STD room which can work out to be expensive in any big city.
I have reserved a family quad room with 2 double beds at the cosmopolitan hotel in wanchai. It is extremely hard to find a room that can take 4 people and I found it after much research. Most reviews are positive for this establishment, walking distance to time sq, free shuttle bus etc. Book direct on hotel website which is cheaper and they give 15% discount up to end Dec if you stay min 2 nights. I am paying around usd 250 a night which includes buffet breakfast. Not that cheap but hotels in HK are generally high but with bf included I think it is ok.
As for Zhuhai , really nothing much there.
