at some Guardian and Watson stores, the cosmetics dept promoters will approach you even if you are viewing non-cosmetics products. I know it's their job but still... it can be quite a turn-off especially so in Guardian stores where they are smaller in size so the promoters can see you the moment you step into the store and they approach you straight away. :slapshead:

Some of these promoters will start commenting or criticizing on your complexion, pigmentation, pimples, blackhead etc. It really puts customers off. :yikes:

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: oh man, that's the ultimate one - and those breast boosters.. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
:yikes: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: this is really the ultimate one lah. No fight.

Some shop assistants not only leech on u, they also insist on holding the clothes for u.

They will follow customers around the store and even escort customers to the fitting room.

Worse still, there is no mirror in fitting room. One has no choice but to come out and look at the mirror outside. The salesgirl would then comment how good the dress look on u.

Needless to say, I won’t consider trying out clothes if there isn’t any mirror in fitting room.

The worst experience was at a shoe shop. This male assistant followed me and stood so close to me that his arm almost touch my arm. I kept telling him I’ll like to look around on my own and will tell him my choice later. But he refused to get lost. Then another assistant came and stood on my other side. So I was sandwiched between 2 assistants. What are they trying to do?? So I turned and left the shop.

                    errr sall,
what perfume do u used ? I wanna make sure DW dun buy that brand  πŸ˜“

I think these salespeople are usually on commission based, so they are rather competitive and over-zealous. It usually helps if you tell them nicely to backoff and will call them if required. :imanangel:

Strangely I hardly encounter sales gal who leeches on me. take 1 look at me and they are pretty sure I won't buy.

                      πŸ˜† hahaha...sama sama.

and for me, sometimes they may stand at a corner and monitor if i'm there to shoplift :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

but seriously, it's not easy being a good sales person, must know how to ζŸ₯言观色. They must understand that some customers like to be followed and 'served', but some do not. πŸ˜„

πŸ˜‚ I wasn't using perfume then. I think they din realise they're invading customers' personal space by leeching on to them. Then they'll lose the customers and also lose their commission.
