Preparing kids for P5 in 2011

Teeheehee! Meanwhile, DS and I are ramping down. His teacher asked him to fill out a planning schedule and because he isn’t allowed to study now, he put the word "Relax" in every box. His Teacher was very shocked. His friends were shocked too.

I’ve been very busy at work, so DD is all on her own.
Inside, I feel very worried and anxious, but I try my best to hide from her and just be a cheerleader.

Some days, I’m OK, others I’m a wreck. Coz I’ve never been this "hands off" ever and am not sure it’s the right thing to do… only the results will tell.

Just cannot understand why the freaking FT is till giving a lot of homework on the day before an exam!!

I was a complete wreck last weekend...so :frustrated: and torn between preparation of Oral/Compo and Paper 2. Hubby told me to let go and not distract him from Oral/Compo first. So I told son, 'read your compo books...memorize 开头，结尾 and told him NO UFO or aliens please'. Then I added, 'You can do it.' :rahrah:

Yup, a lot of self-control required on my part too.
Even when she says she thinks she did well after a paper, I say \"good job!!\" but inside I still worry!!

Coz there have been times she'll say she thinks she wrote a good compo and then I see many gaps :slapshead:

So now I hold my tongue coz no point :stompfeet: at this stage.

Yup! The first time I did this "no study" thing… I had to brace myself for poor results too. He wasn’t ready but I was so fearful for his emotional state that I just didn’t care. Maybe some will remember that I was an emotional wreck sometime in Jan and Feb this year. And I really really mean a WRECK. I was in tears.

Hi Peony,

When he told me he used 开头 and 成语, I couldn’t resist asking him if he used them in appropriate situations. Anyway, what’s done is done. I emailed his teacher to ask if he can let me know how the compo was done (when he has a chance to see).

I’m saving my energy for PSLE…but still have to try and ramp him next week.

May I know on the average how many last year's papers you expect the kids to finish before SA2.
