A couple more of such incidents whereby she put me in a very bad light. I told her plainly she has mistaken me and told her: \"You think very badly of me.\" After that I think she backed off and stop her sarcastic remarks and crocodile tears.

Funny how MIL think we are blind to smear campaigns aimed at us.

Was chatting to a friend & apparently, her MIL (who has dementia) is worsening.

But funny thing is, when her other children are around, she seems normal enough…but she acts up when the other children are gone.

Now the friend even has difficulty going out with her hubby. Whenever they go out, the MIL will start going around banging things with a metal spoon & yelling so much so that the maid and kids gotta summon the parents home ie. MIL stopping the son from going out with the wife.

Hearing that I’m getting worried. My MIL (no dementia) seems to show signs & symptoms too. Everyday, she would keep asking for DH…is he back, what time is he going to come home, is he going anywhere etc. If he wears a T-shirt, she’ll ask him not to go out, stay at home. When I’m changed, will also ask if DH going out with me. Has also tried to dissuade DH from going breakfast with me or send kids to tuition along with me. I sure hope she won’t worsen.

The time that I will always remember the terrible side of my mil is that the day when she sat next to my dd and told me right into my face : \" wo Yao gen ni dou!\" As for the next occasion , which I remembered vividly was that she was already very unhappy w me, hence tried to avoid her by playing w my dd most of the time, suddenly she banged the cupboard door in the kitchen and stormed into the room to kneel and kowtow in front of me! Told me to forgive her! I hv done nothing except din talk much to her cos I knew she was fuming b4 I went to her house... What hv i done to deserve the kneeling part?

I have also have a horrifying argument with my MIL in 2007 then coz her precious unmarried dd has always bully me over work issues as i worked in their family business. My MIL had tried to beat me with an umbrella!!! I had not rebute her in any forms of words but she keep on scold and swear me and abuse me with many unimaginable words. She also told her son in front of walk in customers at their store that i was a slut and oneday i will run away with all the money and he will be left with no money and alone!! can imagaine in this era, there are still MIL that will try to beat her DIL!! Whereas she condone her own DD to always behave rudely to me!! sigh..........since then , there is this irrepairable broken piece in my relation with them, till the day i die i will never forget and forgive them. Whenevery, i told my friends on what they did to me all along , they are all so shocked coz given my character they knew i will not definitely not the one that will bully her DD andpity me that i had a tiger MIL and a single and available sister in law that has an evil heart.

Hubby's insensitive and brainless sister asked her brothers to get lawyer to assess parents assets. Can you imagine that? It's plain obvious her angmoh husband brainwashed her.

That cheapskate is supposed to be a dentist and he is eyeing a piece of the 3 room flat. Eldest son (hubby's brother) got so mad and shot his stupid sister a nasty email to leave the flat alone. Omg, that stupid woman wants a will written claiming that parents are forgetful. She wants division of assets.

My MIL just happily sent the grandson back to China again..He wanted to stay longer but she has mahjong to play...

DH thinks nothing of it. As usual, feel that I'm over-reactive, but of course in my perspective, he's probably in self-denial (just like so many other things which I have pointed out and came true. Eventually he sensed it but still refused to acknowledge)
So I'll just have to be 'good' and wait for him to get 'enlightened'......

Me too! At least my MIL 动口不动手. I don't think I can endure this kind of treatment.
