Hi, just to find out whether RI has compulsory term boarding school programmer like NJC (every year)or HCI (at sec 3)

heard some faint noise about it ..... but incomplete info....so I can't share more

There is a newly built 11-storey (?) hostel beside gate 3. I used to think that is for local students taking part in the boarding programme, No?

You can state which term you prefer, subject to availability.

maybe some parents of Yr 3 or Yr 4 Rafflesians can clarify on this. I always assumed it was compulsory in Yr 3, based on the talks given by the principal during Open House and Orientation.

The 10-week boarding stint forms part of the http://www.ri.edu.sg/yr1to4/departments/leadership, to create a Student Leader community, as proven by the Yr 4 PSLs guiding the Yr 1 students each year.

oops maybe should've included more details..

what i posted was the current state of affairs. From what i gather, it's because part of the boarding complex is under renovations these 2 years, so there's insufficient boarding space for the whole year 3 cohort. therefore RLP boarding for year 3's during this 1 or 2 years is based on application and availability..

if renovations are completed in time, maybe next year will be back to participation of full yr 3 cohort..? still awaiting further notice.. Or i guess we can call school admin to find out.

sorry for any misunderstanding ~ šŸ™‚

Hi RI parents & parents with Sec Sch kids,

my home computer has just broken down (just when DS is finally free to play his PC games after his psle, poor boy!), and we are planning to buy a new computer soon. May I ask what type of PC DS will need for his Sec Sch? Can you recommend us any good brands and advise us on the specifications and other details that we have to take note of when buying a new computer?

Appreciate all your advice/opinions & recommendations as I am totally clueless on computer stuffs. Thanks very much!

They do one Science per semester. So Bio one semester, Chem one semester, Physics one semester.

Thanks jtoh! But I thought there are 2 semester per yr only?.. So they will have diff exam papers at the end of the yr or all in one science paper?
