His teacher hasn't given them the form yet. Will ask him to take note of the number of student not receiving the form ... But Emmm.... Be prepared tt his answer is I don't know .. :faint:[/quote]So far from my ds class, out of 24 about 10 got CO or WL (from what he knows) the rest don't seem to have. Need to see the day when they give out the DSA form for actual number.
That's why I like to find out stats from other schools.ngbrdad:

Huh ... Tt is too little le ... Unless they don't apply DSA at all ...
Maybe you can ask you DS about his class.
Btw almost the whole class apply for the same few school and the CO and WL goes to the same group of student.
I'm also wondering about the 80% :? -
jtoh:
My DS's school only 2 GEP classes.
That's rather low. How about the other GEP classes in your son's school?ngbrdad:
OK one stat to report.
According to DS, they counted the no of his classmates who got the DSA form.
Out of 25 students in his GEP class, only 12 got the DSA forms ie only 12 out of 25 students in his GEP class got a CO or WL in this year's DSA.
Anyone with any other figure to report ?
What happen to the supposedly over 80% of GEP students will get their preferred schools thru DSA stat ?
The other class is better than his, so figure should be higher.
Btw I think the percentage of the girls who get CO/WL is much higher than the boys. -

 12/25 and 10/24 are very low CO/WL hit rate for GEP. Such numbers are lower than some top Higher Ability classes.
Most if not all GEP girls have CO/WL.
Taking an example of 350:200 GEP boy:girl scenario,
80%of 550=440
440-200 girls= 240 boys
240/350=69% hit rate for boys with DSA CO/WL
350-440= 110 boys no CO/WL
:yikes:
Above is just example/scenario only, not true numbers. Pls don't flame :pokeeye:
Saving grace is eventually >90% get into IP after PSLE but got handful in non-IP. -
The CO/WL figures do look rather dismal based on just two sets of reported statistics by ngbrdad and Interested. Maybe if more parents fed back with their stats it’ll look better?

I suppose the school will announce it .. -
vlim:
If they announce it it'll be next year. The kids usually know among themselves who received CO/WLs etc. The P6 teachers also know bec they'll collate the info for their own purposes and also they'll be handing out the DSA forms.jtoh:

Maybe when parents from NYPS and RGPS report their figures the numbers will edge closer towards 80%. -
