When my son sat for his psle 2 years ago, he made me promise to let him be at his computer for 2 whole weeks after 🤷 and not do anything else. I believe this is the longest school break they will get, for when they go into secondary school, holidays are never really holidays. So give them the break they deserved, parents. They worked so hard! The only thing I made him promise to do is to read a lot in English and MT. Didn't have that much luck there, though.

          vlim:

2 days ago I went to Bishan popular and surprised to see that they are displaying many learning languages set on the display near to the store entrance. The price per set is about $49..emm hope I did not remember wrongly...So for those kids keen to learn a foreign language during this yr end holiday, I think is a gd idea to get one.. šŸ•ŗ
Thanks vlim for the tip. Will check it out. Learning a foreign language does sound like a good idea. Am cracking my head trying to plan something for DS1 who gets bored easily.

Immediately after the last paper on Tue, DS1 played computer games with a vengeance for 2 hours non stop. After he was told to stop, he read his novel with a vengeance non stop for 4 hour. He stopped reading after finishing the entire book and complained about being bored.......that is only the very day after exams.

He has a few things line up for him this holiday like soccer camp, electric guitar class, maybe NAFA art classes and his school has organized an educational tour to Vietnam. But most of the time, i think he will just alternate between books and computer. Hopefully he will take to foreign language (Latin sounds exotic). And not forgetting sports.

            Hi hexagon,

I think mostly my Ds mainly will be playing computer game and reading story book during this long break. Initially I thought he would be keen to join Weiqi intermediate course but now... Guess he just wants to do something v relaxing .... šŸ˜‰

I signed my son up for a 5-day space academy camp which is conducted by former NASA engineers. You may check out for more info at their website.

Oh, didn't know there's a space academy junior now for 8-12yrs. Last yr my elder ds went and he was already among the youngest at 13, and there were some activities like paintball that he couldn't go for bc of age since most of the activities were designed for the older teens. So cute too - he has his own suit in his size! ;D

Yes, they do. Am sending my boy for the Age 14-21 programme too.

Did your DS enjoyed the workshop?
They have a diving session as well.
Sounds fun and I think kids get to learn alot and while having lots of fun.
