Haha... Not too sure why rgps accepted her. Anyway I told just do her best, if she gets in to that two class will be a bonus if she doesn't life will be the same.

Not too sure whether can she make it to the two class. As she just join the school this year, but I realised being a parent in that two class is kind of stress hor!

Not for p4 but I think p5 will be a different ballgame altogether. I am sure your dd must be academically pretty good or else why would rgps accept her? πŸ˜„

Just to share some info. I think my dd's classmates are bright. They don't seem stressed and like to have fun. Class ave is typically something like 27 or 28 out of 30 marks. Very high right?

Oh, 27 or 28 out of 30 marks, that means there are a lot of full marks in the class. My DD's class ave is normals 22 or 23 out of 30 marks...so big differences...much more stress lah.

Oh yes, parents do worry whether their kids can keep up with the class nevertheless, if ur girl is selected I guess there will be someone who is academically stronger to guide her. Theres only vacancy for 80 so even if ur girl does not make it to E/F class it does not mean shes weaker than the rest.... i do see quite a few that are not in the top 2 classes producing just as good results or better.
End of the day ,,,,its the PSLE results that matters most. πŸ˜„

                    hi bliss-ful,

u mention that your daughter was transfered into RGPS at P4, from another primary school. P4 is the year where there's a lot of fluid movement, in and out.

                    curious ...

                    i) does your girl need to queue up a long time - before successful transfer took place ?

ii) does your girl have to sit for any entrance proficiency tests in these subjects in our school (ie. English, Maths, Chinese), before she was offered a place ? Or just show P her ex school report card (P1 - P3) results will do + CCA that she excel in ?

in the absence of an equivalent entrance tests - must pupil score on average minimum 85 to 90 marks in each subject, before the school consider her for a transfer ?

reason i ask is because ... my friend is very, very keen to transfer her daughter into here. Thus, appreciate yr kind sharing. Thank you v much.
