Been trying to find from the web the average mean for the eng, chinese, math & science & their SDs for year 2010 and 2009 but to no avail. Are they ever disclosed? Anyone knows?

I hazard to guess these are as follows:
EL mean = 77, SD = 9
CL mean = 72, SD = 12
MA mean = 61, SD = 17
SC mean = 66, SD = 14
These are the rounded up numbers for NYPS mainstream (excl GEP) for 2010 prelim and I know a number of people whose prelim t-scores are similar to actual PSLE t-score, +/- very little, and these people has been very consistent over the years, at least about 15 of them -

Do you happen to have the numbers for 2011 prelim ? -

So this year's figure should be close to these as well ?Verysuperkiasu:

But how can the mean and SD at NYPS be the same as the national average ? -

This is the figures supplied by Crazydad on the T score thread for 2009.
CL: Mean = 78, StdDev = 10
EL: Mean = 73, StdDev = 11
Math : Mean = 63, StdDev = 9
Sci : Mean = 67, StdDev = 12
He based it on the 2007 figures with similar style to 2009 ie difficult math, easy Chines and tricky Science. Sound familiar right ?
But the SD for math is way too low, and may end up giving a very false t score for math. -

EL = 50 + 10 (100-77)/9 = 76
CL = 50 + 10 (100-72)/12 = 73
MA = 50 + 10 (100-61)/17 = 73
SC = 50 + 10 (100-66)/14 = 74
T-Score = 296
I used that to compute & got 296 for max score for 2011, is it too high ? seems out of reach, did I compute wrongly ā¦
