btw..heard about Roman mop often...where can get it & why it is good?

CK tang basement sells them. Also saw it at Bugis Junction 8 before.
It is very easy to squeeze the sponge dry and when u mop the floor, the floor is not so wet. Hair and dirt stays on sponge well. But cannot reach corners well if blocked by things. Very lasting mop ....

after reading about maids having facebook, I went to do goggle on my maid , and oh…she also got facebook… I believe this is only common for maids who has been here for a while not those new ones. And I dont think maids will add their employers as "friend" , otherwise, employers will know what they are doing.


And I hope she does not posed my kids pic on FB cos I know she had a number of them in her camera.

I think as long as just posting photos should be alright but if used to cast spell??!!! But I guess cast spell only indonesian not Philip.

My maid’s agency has clarified with her that they only earned her two months’ salary, the other 2.5mths are the other expenses incurred for her employment. And with regds to the employment agency act, agency explained to her that this applies to transfer cases, the max they cld charge is 1-2 mths salary, i think.

the agency lady scolded her very loudly and said she think too much. You know, my maid go around asking all the maids in the agency also whether they deduct them a few mths before she join us..Sigh, already in not right frame of mind. Anyway, i heard her asking agency is it only 5.5 mths and she can go off without paying, so i know that is her target liao.

Ya, i think these maids really think our money so easy to earn! Like my maid, always like to talk back, my sis asked her how come she dont seemed to be able to pat my baby to sleep, she said she breastfed her baby to sleep previously, dnt need to pat?! Other incidents like trying to negotiate can just mop the bumper playmat every other day instead of everyday (when my son eats and lay on there every day), raising her legs up for my mum to mop the floor (when she is at my mom’s house with my son) really makes us mad loh…She thinks she is here to daydream is it…grr…

Im a newbie here… Really need some advise.

Engaged a maid 2 months ago and really need advice. My hubby, friends and MIL felt that im treating my maid too good and im spoiling her. Some examples here:

1) BF - same food as us (Eg: if i buy fried beehoon for my kid, i would get the same for her plus two ingredients) –> is this considered too good? My colleague told me that a bun would suffice
2) Dinner - Eat with us although we will section our her portion –> Fair?
3) Restaurant - Is it normal to bring maid along if attending a ten course dinner costing $600? We are not rich so pls do not be mistaken
4) Wakes up at 6am during weekday to prepare my elder daughter, weekend and PH im okay to wake up later at 8am –> Okay or am i spoiling her?

Have been fighting a lot with my hubby over these issues and im really at a loss… will appreciate some kind advice
