Can I also check if P1 kids in BTPS use any of those Chinese digital dictionary?

Been thinking of getting one as my Chinese is hopeless and I also wanna help my soon to be P1 girl. I heard some schools use them, right? And the schools also use certain brands too right?

          Hi,

My son has been registered in BTPS 2012. As we stay in the Farrer Park estate, which is outside of 5km from the school, the school bus could not take my son. Any parents who stays in Newton, Novena, Kampong Java interested in car pool arrangement?

Is indeed far. We were within 1km of our choice school for him but we were balloted out. Sigh..

And we did not want to put him in just any school around our neighborhood and thus BTPS. We are really hoping to find parents that we can car pool with.

My boy will be in Compassion. 🙂

                Hi Jo,

My son will be in Compassion too. I was so worried about getting him to spell his class, so immediately taught him how to spell \"Compassion\" once I knew about his class. Thank god, he has no problem in learning it.

Mine situation is pretty the same as yours, we were balloted out from our 1st choice, and 2nd best - BTPS, though we stay in JW..

Did you go for the Admin day? I went a day later cos was out of town on that day.

I am looking forward to the Orientation day! Will be bringing my boy along for him to try out new uniforms and hopefully to make some new friends too.

Will you be bringing your boy on that day? It will be great for them to meet and know who their new friends would be in the new school. At least there will be familiar faces and friends they can look forward to at the start of new school. A new environment without familiar faces can be quite intimidating for a P1 child. 😓

                    Hi Jo,

Yes of course, my boy will be there too. They will get to meet his form teacher and friends, and apparently, they will go to their classrooms and have a quick chat with their teachers.

Will also be getting the uniforms.

So how are you settling on your son’s transportation to and fro school?

Is your boy looking forward to joining BTPS? Mine is. He is pretty set to go there, as apparently, he likes the environment there.

                        Hi Lakesidemum,

My boy has not been to BTPS actually. He is aware that he will be studying at BTPS but has no idea of the school yet.

We are hoping to find people that we can car pool with, meanwhile, we have no choice but to send and pick him from school. Looking forward to meet other parents and hopefully something could be work out.
