BigD, LKVM and BlurBee have made the cake. To them, it's easy peasy.

So, try it out and let us know the outcome. :celebrate:

All the best! Your wife will πŸ’‹ you, for sure. Then, both of you can go for :romance: .

          Thanks, LKVM....but :faint:

I was hoping it will be like making bread...throw everything together and steam.

And DW will also :faint: after seeing the mess I make of her kitchen!
Followed by her :stompfeet: :nunchuk: :torchme:

Think I will just go Lana to buy one. πŸ˜‚

Big D, if you want it simple, buy the pre-mix and throw everything in to stir then put into a heart-shaped tray and bake. That one is really simple. You can buy the chocolate fudge and apply it on the cake when baked.

Weighing scale no problem...already bought one for making bread.

For someone who never cooks, I just know I'm going to make a big mess.

 how about I pay your kids to make one for me?? πŸ˜†

Now this one I like! Fuss free...and don't have to buy flour, vanilla extract, etc which will sit on the shelf and rot after one use! πŸ˜‚

                Ok...I think think some more...

Betty Crocker got good pre-mixes you can try.

I think pre-mixes are good for S.N.A.H (sensitive new age hubbies!) πŸ˜‰

Yes NTUC has it but better check out Finest instead of FairPrice as I now frequent more Finest chains due to NTUC's conversion efforts.

                        BigD,

Sorlli I kayo arrrh .... chanced upon this when I logged in.

I am more for qms' suggestion cuz personally, I have tried Betty Crocker mix and didn't like it.

I use Greens for pre-mix cakes as I find they taste better ... no artificial flavours nor preservatives. I baked a choco cake for DH's bday this year using the pre-mix but no one knew it. But of course it's your call at the end of the day lah ... just offering more options and giving you more headache πŸ˜†

Anyway, think it's really sweet of you to bake a cake for your wife. She is so fortunate to have a hubby like you. Like qms, I remember you were
looking for nice tiramisu last year .... seems like yesterday now.
