KTKLN for indo maid?
-
If my maid has a sticker on her passport stating our address dated 2009, must we get that renewed if she is going back next month even though the address is unchanged?
If there is a need to update, anyone know where we can find the form? Was hoping to fill that before going down to submit the documents.
I was thinking if I am going to do the home leave processing, can I do the new work agreement. If so, I suppose I’ve to bring her along? -

Go to the Indonesian embassy website to find out what are the documents needed.it is pretty much the same as for passport renewal. Then they will prepare a working agreement for you and maid to sign so both maid n employer must be present. You can find out about the address part. I should think it is still valid as the person at the embassy said it is valid for multiple travel. If not they can endorse it but u need to collect it 3 working days later. If my maid has a sticker on her passport stating our address dated 2009, must we get that renewed if she is going back next month even though the address is unchanged?

Unfortunately it is not very clear and no home leave endorsement forms are in the website. Also my maid passport is still valid, really don't feel like going throughout the hassle :frustrated:

Go to indonesian website, click on services, then foreign worker, then working agreement.
All the necessary documents are stated there and form can be downloaded too. -

I saw that but frankly, I feel that it is not clear as what it merely did was to state the passport renewal process and forms as well as $35. However under the work agreement portion, they mentioned that agreement charges are free of charge. So it assumes that only those renewal of passport will need the new agreement. However for folks who do not need to renew passport but need a new agreement due to the KTKLN, what can we do.... :? I also recall that the agreement is something that can be produced on the spot.MMM:

I will try to call them (if anyone answers). -

I saw a few employers with their maids who went there purely for work agreement. Yup, the working agreement can be obtained on the spot (which I did), but if you need passport endorsement, you need to collect the passport 3 days later. All are free of charge. Remember to get the addresses of the offices in Indonesia where your maid can make the card and the instructions of what to bring. -
I will try to comb through the classified ads today to see if I can find an agent who can help with this. Unless they tell me that since we already have our address, we don’t need to do the home leave endorsement, I will consider going down just for the contract.
The form is another nitemare… Ask so much details which I wonder if necessary that even my maid is unsure of and have to call her parents to enquire. -

Then you give them passport to endorse.
3 days later, you collect it in the afternoon.
Collection is very fast.
You don't need to go down personally.
Anyone with the same address as you can collect it.
Agent will charge alot. I feel it is not worthwhile.
But if you have your address on the last page of her passport and it has not changed then likely don't need to endorse again.
You can confirm with them at the embassy.
Form don't worry cos my maid can't remember date of birth of parents and she left it blank and they said it was alright.
Her details are the most important.
At the embassy they will take her thumb print and signature. -
carebear:
So I assume that don't need photos already??? Actually her passport was endorsed with our address back in 2009. Wonder if we need to endorse again.... I tried to call the embassy this morning.... No one picks up. Wonder why do they provide people with a contact number when there are no intention to answer :frustrated:Yup, working agreement you and maid must go down to sign.

Then can save trouble queueing up there to take photo.
Remember it must be in white background.
Ask them about endorsement.....the guy there said it is for multiple travel so long it is still the same address.
I emailed them many times but no reply.
