Haha maybe I should qualify my huge.... is about 90cm in height. From TA, the weather during late Nov is about 15 degree.... some of the places where I am going, like He Huan Shan, they told me if I am lucky, I might see snow too. With that in mind. I need to prepare enough jackets for 3 of us which take up a lot of space. With 2 huge luggage, I should be able to 'store' those items & goodies.
Do you really need to bring so many things that filled 2 huge luggages? Usually we travel as light as possible and save the remaining space for goodies from overseas?lastoknow:
Hi all,
I was google-ing on info about taxi driver fr Taoyung airport to taipei hotel and was directed to this site. I didn't know that Kiasuparent also talk about trips???
We are going to Taipei too on 27 Nov to 5 Dec. 2A & 1K (7 yrs old).
I have read thru the 34 pages of info and was wondering anyone has experience on how they settle their 2 huge luggages. Do you bring it along with you if you are travelling away fr Taipei or just leave it with the hotel. :? My problem is I am staying at different hotel different days. Any advises?
If you can leave your huge luggages at a location, does this mean you dont need it at all during your hols?
I understand that we can actually leave some luggages with the hotel concierge if we are coming to the same hotel after the trips away from Taipei. But we are not.

You can check with the Taipei hotel you’ll be staying for your 1st leg, some of them allow you to deposit your main luggage at their hotel with no charge. You can pick it up when you return for your 2nd leg, with or without staying. However, if you are going to travel to several places in Taiwan, I don’t see a reason why you need to deposit your bags in Taipei since you’ll be needing all the warm clothings.
For us, we always travel light and will look for accommodation with free washing machine usage or laundromat. -

It seems like we have to bring our luggage with us. Is our 1st trip to Taipei and I am afraid if we bring a smaller luggage, we might hv problem putting all our goodies.. gifts.... plus our clothing. -

The $80 savings is difference between Taoyuan airport and their branch in Taipei or difference between taipei branch and Singapore?
Sorry for late reply. The $80 difference is between Taipei and Singapore. -

My family will be spending 10 days F&E in Taiwan in late Nov. Now still finalising where to visit. We have booked hotel and farm staysIt really depends on what you are looking for in a F&E tour. Scenic? Farm stay? Cultural? Museums?
I'll be spending 10d/9n in Taiwan, but will be staying 3 nights in Hualien. Now I'm thinking if I should extend another night.TTLauPeh:
Hi Folks,
Heading to Taipei in Dec with wifey and son for abt 10 days. F&E coz we don't like being herded around, taken to shops, etc. Boy's 14 already so no kiddie theme parks. Anywhere other than Hualien/Torako Gorge when we can stay a night?
Thanks. -

Good for those whose schools do not have such immersion programme. Or those who do not take higher chinese (such tours if have is offered to those who take HMT).
Is this yearly affair? And each year different destination? -
Just went to surf CTC’s web and realised there is Humanities trip to Taiwan Northcoast. Interesting as they have visits to hydro electric & nuclear plants.
Their Tokyo tour has earthquake simulation.
