DS is 11kg at 18 mth old… now 20 mth liao. haven weigh i thk maybe 12 kg…DS can recognise A,B,C,D (alphabet we do in shichida) able to say items start with "A", "B", "C" & "D" actually, u all can do that too, by making a alphabet books, in a page, put "Aa" and past the items begns with "A" etc… read to them often, and they will be able to read it out when u point to it… DS can take out shoes on his own, pull up pants on his own…
i started to play leap frog letter factory DVD to him once a week… he can say the sound of the letter for some… -

I like your idea of the homemade alphabet book. Can engage DD to make it as an art and craft item. My DD also 17 mth still dun wanna say mama... I am starting to get worry.
The only word she say is 'there' with her finger pointing to watever she is referring ... :?: -

I did not speak till I was 3 yos and all's fine.
Does she understand spoken instruction, with no hand gesture by adults? At home you can test her hearing buy making small noises to catch her attention. -

She can understand instruction eg. When I ask her to throw away the paper she will understand . Dun think there is anything wrong with her hearing as she can hum different songs.

Just hope dd2 will call mama soon n dun make me worry too long.

Agreed.... DD1 walk fast n learn fast but I have more fun with DD2 who always do silly n unexpected stuff to make me laugh :evil:
