Heard from DS1 there's another drowning today at Bedok Reservoir but didn't hear anything in the news. Maybe they muted it. In fact, I've heard of drownings in other reservoirs before but this time, Bedok Reservoir may be sensationised due to the close frequency which makes the drownings more alarming than it is.

I read somewhere this time round it was just a angmoh student taking a dip and kena mistaken .. ..

he was there jogging and felt too hot so went for a swim to cool down

Police have cordoned off a section of the reservoir bank, directly opposite to housing block 717.

An eyewitness Yeo Kin Kiat, 53, told AsiaOne that the body was pulled up by police officers at about 7.25am.

Sources said the body belonged to a elderly woman, and she was wearing a red top.

the religious rites were meant to appease the souls and guide them to a better place instead of lingering there…
