Not my credit, I got it from Wiki...very impressive that our full academic grading of Singapore is published there with top schools used as example...

Hi, I think I may have posted on the wrong thread but this thread seems to be more popular…but anyway, do anyone of you know what are the criteria for DSA to raffles band (year 5)? Has anyone you know of entered RJC symphonic band? What are the questions they asked, audition test(how is it like) and does syf medal matters or skill matters? Is it difficult to get into RJC band through DSA? Thanks a lot…

I think DSA to year 5 thru CCA (performing arts) depends on whether the Raffles Symphonic Band (in your case) wants to fill the vacancy for the talent that it cannot find in their current Year 4s from both RI and RGS. So it should be instrument-specific and they may only audition for certain positions and instruments they need. Winning medals in SYF matters but I do not know about the specifics of the audition.

Hi RI parents,
my home computer has just broken down and we are planning to buy a new computer soon. May I ask what type of PC a child will need for his Sec Sch education? Can you recommend any good brands of PC and advise on the
specifications and other details that we have to take note of when buying a new computer?
Heard that there is a scheme for Sec Sch pupils to buy PC at a special student price. Does RI has this scheme too? Or does the scheme apply to laptops only?
Appreciate all your advice/opinions & recommendations as I am totally clueless on
computer stuffs. Thanks very much! -
