Hi vlim, everyone knows you busy with apples and dragon fruits, right? Happy idling. DD just took up new hobby - shooting! Apparently, RI also very strong in that area. Want to consider?
Does your dd intend to try for shooting in RGS? -

DD is hoping to get into the team. Heard the criteria very stringent; only accept 10 per year. Your DD in the team?MummySTay:

DD and I certainly hope that her experience will give her an edge over others. We heard that the popular CCAs are all over-subscribed, so students do not really have much say in the choice of their CCAs. How true is this?

That's the case in most secondary schools. Auditions and trials are held and the best are chosen for the CCA. So the more popular ones are always over-subscribed. That's why it's good to try for a few CCAs just in case you can't get into one there's a chance you might get into another of your choice. -
which are some popular CCAs that are often over subscribed ?

I don't know if I should post this here or in RGS thread - heard there is such a thing as second CCA. Is this compulsory? If so, how do the kids cope? -

It's not really encouraged bec it'll take up a lot of the girl's time, esp if she's taking two heavy CCAs. -
Thank you, jtoh. Some Sec 1s make it sound like the girls need to have a second CCA. I hope the school’s policies have not changed suddenly this year. Got me kind of worried.

No news of any change in policy. Which Sec 1s did you hear it from?
