I know some of your DD and DS is in GEP. Can I know when will the school stop their common test in P6 as eventually all the kids will take the same paper in their PSLE? I also understand some of the GEPpers are taking HCL without going thru the CL paper in P5, hence if they are taking the normal CL paper in P6, will it be set by the GEP branch too (assuming they are still taking their common test)?

The p6 geppers last gep exam will be in may, before mid year holiday. Thereafter, they can concentrate on their psle revision. They will also have to take the same preliminary exams as the mainstreamers. For geppers, they have to take SS preliminary exam, unlike mainstreamers who don't have to. And it is an important exam for geppers, as passing this Ss prelim is one of the criteria of their gep status promotion to secondary school level.Hi,

oic...I thought you mean different gep centers have different set of common tests
...
well that is very possible..I think these gep teachers often have to meet together for discussion or meetings. If I am not wrong, some subject papers such as SS, they will mark it at the GE branch so that they can consult the ge officer if any uncertainty of the answer given by the students arise..

Ya, the GEP HODs and Subject Heads meet regularly.
I think after each GEP Common Test and SA, the subject teachers will meet to standardize their marking scheme and to test mark some of the qns or papers. Then they go back and mark individually.
