      MandyMummy:

I was told that each GEP school ( or some or some them) contribute some questions to the entire paper. So effectively, the GEP papers are set by most or all of the GEP schools for the GEP students, not the GEB.

oic...I thought you mean different gep centers have different set of common tests πŸ˜‰ ...
well that is very possible..I think these gep teachers often have to meet together for discussion or meetings. If I am not wrong, some subject papers such as SS, they will mark it at the GE branch so that they can consult the ge officer if any uncertainty of the answer given by the students arise.. 🀷

My ds once said his teacher told him so.
Ya, the GEP HODs and Subject Heads meet regularly.
I think after each GEP Common Test and SA, the subject teachers will meet to standardize their marking scheme and to test mark some of the qns or papers. Then they go back and mark individually. πŸ˜„

Hi jtoh, Snow Crystal and soka. thanks all for your kind advise.

jtoh, you mentioned that schools *may* be clamping down on DSA transfer cases this year - where did you hear this \"lobang\" from ? πŸ™‚

                  Hi All,

My DS got a DSA CO from VS and I am wondering if he should take up the offer. He wants to go to RI and thinks he will do well enough on get in based on results. I am, however, not very confident 😞 and think he may miss by a few points from RI's COP. Appreciate any advise I can get on what I should do. Thanks!

If he and you both think he might be able to get into RI based on his PSLE results he would probably be able to get into VS based on his PSLE results even if he doesn't make it to RI. Given that schools *may* be clamping down on DSA transfer cases this year, which means you won't be able to get a transfer to RI if you were to accept the VS CO, you might want to give the VS CO a miss and go for RI during the S1 Centralised Posting.

I concur - good advice by jtoh. This is on the assumption that your DS feel strongly he did quite well for the recently concluded PSLE of course as you mentioned.
Have faith in your son πŸ˜‰

Less than 28 hours to go before the deadline for submission of DSA preference.

Please remember to submit before that.

DS1 and his P6 schoolmates are in Bintan now for their school P6 camp.
Hopefully everyone has submitted their forms.
Or else when they return on Sat evening, can start crying already.

Thanks so much! I very much want to share my DS confidence ... :xedfingers: except this year's paper seems easy and I hear that when the exam is generally easy, T-scores tend to be lowered πŸ˜“ and believe that COP for top schools will be higher :slapshead: ? HELP !
