Your DD obviously know what she is doing (and what NUSH can offer her). With her passion in maths and if she choose Maths or Computing (in future careers ) she can finish NUSH within 4 years (min) and joined the Univ by 17/18 year old. A few of past NUSH students have gone these path. 2 of them have completed NUS maths n computing with First class honours and are now persuing PHD at foreign Univ on scholarship. Juz for info.

But the NUSH website states that students will not graduate from NUSH in less than 6 years. They can take NUS modules but will stay the full 6 years in NUSH.

Yes. The NUS High School curriculum makes provisions for students at Year 5 and Year 6 to read NUS modules directly or to enrol in project/research modules for credits. What website say is one thing. On record, there are actually 3/4 past NUSH students who \"drop out\" by 3.5 to 4 years b'cos they are so advanced to complete undergraduate modules. The school has no choice but allow them to \"graduate\" to NUS proper. That's why Dr Hang said in one of the parent talk. These 4 may or may not have gotten the NUSH Diploma (not to sure, need to verify). -

If ur inclined to the maths and science, NUShigh is better cause of the inclination and enrichment of these two subjects there…!
whereas if ur more inclined to the languages or arts side, RGS is better! -

Im actually a year 4 student from RG(: I think that if you want her to develop more holistically, it’d be good for her to come to RG because although it is stressful we are exposed to many aspects of character and leadership development and I personally feel that I’ve grown alot since year 1(: plus the bonds that we forge in school are really strong, its an amazing school<3 -

My DS's heart sealed w NUSHS since P5 & ever since he has not changed his mind even though he had the choice to go HCI. Whenever he passes by NUSHS, he will get very excited. In fact, he told me he couldn't wait to go there. Now working hard on chemistry, biology, Maths textbooks that he borrowed from his seniors .... Really happy for him that he had chosen the school he loved. normally once a child has set his mind, goals & objectives on something, chances are he'll tend to excel in it. Because the drive, the self motivation propelling force of turbine automatically come from within, like a water fountain.

RGS definitely!!! More rounded education. And they go to RJC!! Gateway to Ivy League Uni in the USAMy girl got DSA offers to the above and NYGH....she is determine to opt for NUSHigh over RGS.
Do I let her make up her own mind or persuade her to choose RGS, which is what I feel is a better choice knowing the educational system as an insider - being a teacher myself?
