Above mentioned other then the UNSW, are all maths olympaid competition organized by different secondary schools. They do helped in DSA but not 100% guarantee ... A high distinction or distinction in UNSW does help but again no guarantee ....however if keen to try DSA thru academic route then definitely good to have them.Hi,
Can someone pls enlighten me what is SMOPS, NMOS, RIPWMC, PLK, SMOJ,SPSO certificates are? Will the school arrange for the kids to take the test or we have to arrange it ourself? Lastly, understand that most school will arrange for kids to take UNSW papers (ie. Eng, Maths and Science), does it really help if the kids achieved a merit, distinction or high distinction? Can we use it to apply for DSA? TIA
All are thru the primary schools,., u may like to check with your kid school as some schools might not send their students for competitions . -
Hi vlim, thanks for the verification. Ddโs Sch only send them for unsw and national math olympiad competition, hence wonder if it really help.
So when I see so many competitions, Iโm panic and wonder where to participate since Sch did not arrange for it. -

For UNSW ICAS tests, not of that much use in DSA unless you score a High Distinction or Distinction at the minimum. But also depends on where you're applying to. -
Is there a diff using academic route vs sport route thru DSA? Heard that the kids will have to commit themselves for 4yrs Abd parents have ti sign undertaking form for it. How abt academic route? Does parent require to undertake as well?
-
Since MOs is for P6, is it still in time for them to use it and apply for DSA. When will the test rake place? TIA
-
Sori, I mean which month will the competition start since most school start their application for DSA takes place from Apr to June?
