Mummies with older kids in NYPS, mine is in P3 this year. Is there banding this year ?

Would they remain in the same class and progress to P4 apart from those going for GEP ?

Will there be another class allocation for P5 & P6 ?

I understand that there will be reallocation fm P3 to P4, ie kids will be allocated to diff classes into GEP/intermingling, HA and MA.

Yes, and the P mentioned about subject banding too for P3 going to P4, though not sure how this works.

There should be another round of reallocation from P4 to P5 (except the GEP/intermingling classes) for HA, MA/subject banding. But P5 to P6 is enbloc, so no more reallocation after P5.

In general, MA refers to Mixed Ability 😉 .

What does mixed ability means? Does the school tell you which class your kid is in - HA and not HA etc?
