My DS will be joining the HCI family next year and can someone help me with the following.
1) Can someone share the booklist for 2011 Y1 booklist (iSpark)?
2) May I know is there any pre-requiste to join the Weiqi/Math Club, are they core or merit CCA?
3) Generally how many sets of uniform and PE attite are needed for Y1?
4) Which CCA is the most difficult to get in?
5) Is swimming part of the PE lessons?

Booklist will be given out during the orientation session ...a day will also be allocated for iSpark students to make the purchase. For CCA, unless the student enter HCI under CCA, otherwise they are supposed to go thru a CCA orientation before putting in their choices. Thus there is no compulsory CCA from what I understand.
Swimming is part of PE lesson and will be schedule according to class and consortium. -

Oops! Typo error. Actually am asking for 2010 Y1 iSpark booklist, not the 2011.

I read from the earlier posts, look like HCI also has CCA orientation and students are to rank the CCA base on their preference (provided the CCA choose the student too).
Is it very siong to take 1 UG/Sport + 1 club + 3rd Lang (MSP)? -

some cca will grab you first if you have been \"established\" in the cca in ori school, and so on
sports + club + 3rd lang should be alright if they have the ability to do their homework quickly on their own -

UG usually meet up twice a week. 3rd Lang is once a week. With you other stuff and activities plus CIP etc...taking additional club in my opinion is going to weigh in quite a lot on the kid. Of course, this is individual....verykiasu2010:
