Hi ASLUM, DD got in through Maths domain. If I am not wrong, there are three that got in through Maths in the E / F classes. RGS has been DD's dream school, since P3, so we had to let her try for DSA. However, we told her to try her best and if she failed, she gained in the experience. We had been very blessed indeed.ASLMUM:
Hi MummyStay,
So glad to know that mainstream children have a chance at DSA as well. I did not think of trying out of DSA as i heard slim chance and did not want to add on stress to my DD.
Can i check which domain did your DD go for and how was the process like?
Thanks in advance
There are 3 rounds for academic domain.
1st round : GAT (MCQ IQ test)
2nd round : Test(s) on the domain of your choice
3rd round : Interview
which maths enrichment centre do u send your dd to? -
KSP:
You are most welcome. Actually, the school does send the girls for Math Olympiad training. However, personally, I think the training is pretty useless. DD does not attend enrichment classes, so before the RGS Math tests, DH taught her himself using past years' SMOPS questions. You can download them from the Internet. Just google.

Wow ur DH is good.. my DH just threw the teaching job to me, so everytime before dd's SA, I would be scolding my dd when I went through other school's past SA papers with her.

Quite a few years back, I told DH about an article I once read. I remember it stated that children tend to do better in their studies if they have very supportive fathers. Hmm...maybe that's why DH plays such an active role in DD's education. Perhaps you can try that too...

We should all quote this article to the dads.
