You are most welcome. Actually, the school does send the girls for Math Olympiad training. However, personally, I think the training is pretty useless. DD does not attend enrichment classes, so before the RGS Math tests, DH taught her himself using past years' SMOPS questions. You can download them from the Internet. Just google.
thank you so much for sharing...
which maths enrichment centre do u send your dd to? -
MummySTay:
Wow ur DH is good.. my DH just threw the teaching job to me, so everytime before dd's SA, I would be scolding my dd when I went through other school's past SA papers with her.

Quite a few years back, I told DH about an article I once read. I remember it stated that children tend to do better in their studies if they have very supportive fathers. Hmm...maybe that's why DH plays such an active role in DD's education. Perhaps you can try that too...

We should all quote this article to the dads.

Have your DD attended any math competition and won cups to support your DSA? -
MummySTay:
You are really blessed to have a very self motivated girl.... RGS really chose the right girl. Im sure you are very proud of her.

ASLMUM:
Hi ASLMUM, How did yr girl find the maths and science xam papers this term, hear the average score for maths is 20 pretty low if that is true....btw is ur girl in E/F class? Thanks MummyStay.
I guess no harm trying the GAT first, if we can clear the first round, then worry about the rest then. -

Thank you, ctct61t.
Thanks MummySTay's sharing.

Initially, we just left the training to the school and all she had was a bronze in SMOPS. Thus, I conclude that as long as one has consistently good academic results and does well in the RGS tests, the DSA dream can be within reach. -

Thank you, moonee, for the compliments. And yes, we are very proud of DD. That's why we are going away on our holidays today. DD deserves a reward, but so do DH and I.
