I bought mine from SGS too and the weight doesn't seem heavy too, also worrying for it's authenticity. 😓

I just weighed HCP, the ocher pan. how come its only 1.6kg ha? i thought its 1.9kg?? bot from SGS.

I noted the weight too. SGS said 1.9kg the orcher pan. Can anyone purchase with SGS weight it and confirm pls Biz J indicated 1.6kg.

I bought mine from SGS. Just weighed it, abt 1.6kg. Actually, does the weight matter? I did a fast check on the weight and there was one seller mentioned the weight to be 1555g.

it baffled me why would anyone want to sell fake cookware. its not very expensive and to earn just that little bit of money and you endanger other people lives is very despicable.

it's not as if you re selling GUCCI bag or what for that matter.
For those who did it with intention, only word I can use is GREED.
But hey, nothing beats the milk powder scandal.

the best thing to do is to contact the main HCP office.

Should be authentic. The sender on the courier packaging is a korea address. Btw, I don't find it light. After placing the food in there, it can be quite heavy.

If you have started cooking with it, the results are as shown on tv. I used it to cook fillet yesterday and it is nicely brown like baked fish. My DS likes baked fish and I baked it in the oven for him. I used the HCP to cook it yesterday and he finds it tastier and juicier compared to baking it in the oven. Also, I used it to fry beancurb last week, it is much easier than using the wok. It didn’t break and stick like what happened when I used the wok. It’s good for cooking vegetables too. The beansprouts were well cooked and crisp but not soggy. But of course, you have to manage your timing well. With these cooking experience, I have no doubt about it authencity. The only disappointment is you can’t fry fish, it will be cooked but not crispy.

If you go to alibaba.com and search for Happy Call Pan, there are quite a number of China manufacturers manufacturing it at mass production. One of them even shows the pics of the products in the factory. The boxes they use are the coloured ones. The one I bought from SG is in a brown carton box with Happy Call Pan on it with some korean wordings and a serial no.

I agreed with the manage timing well. I tried few times, fish got burned, coz it cooks very fast. must control temperature also.

as for the tasier part, yes, it seems that food is tasier, I assume its because you get to cover the pan so that less moisture is escape? or maybe the moisture is inside to help cook food? in oven, food usually turned out to be drier.

DS1 even said I put too much oil, but the thing is, I didn’t even put oil.

Yup, I think is more like steam cooking.
