      smartmummy:

      Hi Brenda!

      Good morning!

I need some advise from u!
Did u send ur DD to discovery camp?
Did u send ur DD for Maths Olympaid class?
Did ur girl take the MO exam?
What book is useful for Maths Olympaid?
Does any child can attend the MO classes or only stronger kids only can attend the classes?
What entrichment class I can send my son for this holiday?Pls suggest me?
Does ur girl play chess? Is that enough playing at home with normal mother or need to train with proffessional.P1,P2 we was playing. Then I just lazy to play. Now more than a year we didn't play.I got to know if play chess improve their responsiblity and carefullness. So that I ask.Thanks.

This time I bet with my son u can't take more than 85% for Maths.
If u take I will buy whatever u want if not u should listen whatever I'll tell. :frustrated: with careless mistakes.

      Hi smartmummy,

      Good morning.

Yes, DD had attended the Discovery Camp at P5 during the school holiday.

We did not send DD for Maths Olympiad training and she just attended the Olympiad class (conducted at the school by external vendor, about 10 lessons) arranged by the school during P5 and P6.

The school only selects a few who were very outstanding to go for MO exam
and DD is just average so not chance.

I had bought a Maths Olympiad, Beginner (Terry Chew B.Sc., SAP) when she was at P4 to learn some method of attempting to non-routine questions

My girl does not play chess as she prefer card games, computer games, drawing or any hands on assembly task like building LEGO etc.

I have lost touch with the holiday classes and may be you want to check with other parents who kids are at P3/P4.

I wish your DS will get above 85 so his mother :moneyflies: πŸ˜‚

Thanks Brenda for ur time. The last sentence made me laugh.
Yesterday he told two qns in section C he got wrong. That two qns actually he didn't think properly not that very difficult.I am ok if he didn't understand the qn.I am not happy if he did many careless mistakes. Let see.

Haha, I would think all parents won't mind to spend this money lah!

I still remember award DD when she took part in Gold Star swimming exam last year.

If she pass, we would give her a certain budget to buy the Barbie Doll. At the end, we have to double the budget as she was the first one who had completed the 30 laps among the 10 children. πŸ˜‚ :imcool:

              Hi smartmummy,

              We sent on our own.

It was a 5 days camp from 9am to 5pm.

I remember they also went to Science Center (Roboutics Challenge) and National Park (Mapping Trip).

I think the camp did benefit her.

Brenda! Mummy only win.but I want to buy a lego set for him.He never met my expectations and never buy anything. So he dissapointed and his interest in studies go down.So this time he studied hard and the marks for Maths improved.Science in the same position and MT need to be improved(that is not his wrong).English improved.I am happy with his marks.

Infact, the more scary thing before the PSLE releasing is that I went for a Colonoscopy today.

I'm so glad that the result was normal and I will report for the new job early December. :rahrah:
                        Hi sista! :hugs: :snuggles:

So, you going back to the working world soon? Welcome! :grphug:
