Hi parents of kids who passed first round of gep or selected for gep .Your kids are really great. can you share how to nurture your kid from young like going for enrichments, right brain training , read lots of books , learn music or art lesson etc. Mind sharing your parenting skills or secret to raise a bright child. Thank you .

As I have shared, the PSLE is the great equalizer. When in GEP or not, ur result is ur ticket to choose ur school. Every year NUS High invites top students from every schools to fight a limited places to join NUS High. So do other top schools.

Seriously, the one with the right aptitudes should be in the programme; an independent learner with a big appetite to increase knowledge. Anyone who needs to attend GEP tuition may not be able to cope with the demand of the programme. Without GEP, ONE CAN STILL GET TO THE TOP IF ONE HAS GREAT MOTIVATION N A CLEAR FOCUS IN LIFE.

I think it’s rare but there are kids who opted out of the GEP programme. One chose to remain in Mainstream to pursue music. She didn’t want to be distracted. Two didn’t join the programme because their parents felt they knew them best. My friend expressed hesitance to let her son take up the offer should he clear round 2. Is this a growing trend or are they just exceptions?

GEP results should be out soon and I think if your kid did not attend any GEP training and make it, then you should let him or her study in GEP. Don't worry, the fact that they cleared round 2 without any 'GEP' training is the manifestation of their abilities and suitability for GEP.

😓 Erm, not mine. It's my friend's kid. That was also my advice to her.
