        hi xuanfam,

Not sure, you have to call the office to ask. Seeing this is Oct, I kinda suspect that next meeting would be in early next year. Understood that at most, they only have 2 such meetings in a year.

Whichever method you adopt, as long as you are not in Phases 1 and 2A, please don't regard it as \"secure\" especially when you are talking about St. Hilda's.

                You can try as follow:

                (1) PV for St Hilda's
                (2) Grassroot Leader
                (3) Church Associated

Probability is 20% based on past years analysis.

after reading the 28 pages in this thread, can i conclude that a child that falls under the phase 2b & staying >2km has a higher chance of getting into this school than a child falls under phase 2c & staying <1km or within 1-2km?

                      hi chentai,

There are equal numbers of seats under Phase 2B and Phase 2C. The only difference is that those under 2B have worked for it - either PV, grassroots or got clan/religious association membership (so the population should be smaller); and those under 2B get the so called ‘2 bites of the cherry’ - if they fail in 2b, they can try again in 2C. The last is the advantage from my point of view.

Regards your statement, I think it really depends on the school. If there are clan/religious affiliations, if there is probably strong demand in 2B, the parent won’t even be able to ballot if out of 2KM. eg St Hilda’s pri (based on past postings). In these instances, those staying within 1KM will at least have a chance via ballot.

Thanks for your advise !! 😄 its clearer for me now. i intend to put my gals in MGS (im staying 1-2km away). so i think i wl hv better chance if i join as PV or join as a member of a methodist church right? 🙏
