[Fun Poll] How satisfied are u with ur child(ren) results?

PiggyLalala:
:rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:Very happy with my ds2 results. 3 subjects have improved tremendously compared to SA1. Or maybe he had done too badly for his SA1 (and hence the big improvement now) or the papers for SA2 are easier. Whatever the reasons, I am happy.
No plan to reward him yet. And he did not ask for any too. Kids are kids. They dont really care about results. When ds2 did not perform well for SA1, he is not particularly sad and this time when he did very well for this SA2, he is not particularly happy too. It's the parents. Haha..his good results for SA2 has made me happy for the past few days.

Thats very good! Congratulation! My DS also got about the same and I was happy enough as you know his Chinese not his strong subject. I was happy that he has improve his composition also. First time got 30/40. We will work harder & hopefully next year he can score more than 80.DS was not happy with his Chinese at 78, but I was overjoyed. He had improved by 9 marks from CA2.
I'm quite ok with all his other subjects.

His daddy so thrilled.. ..Lego-ed him already..
i am weaning my boy off lego-buying cos we have tons of lego at home! and he only likes to build and don't destroy to replay. so this round, we bought a small gundam model for him to try out fixing over the holidays (we bought a tank model for him to fix after SA1 but he was not so keen as it involved using glue).
We custom built a display shelf to keep all the fixed models, ikea boxes for the creative series, and multi-compartment boxes for the odd pieces.
DS will also take apart & mix during playtime, but he will sort & fix back when he keeps them. LEGO are his precious toy. -

I know.
It happens (carelessness). As a student, we were at times careless during exams too. Don't be too hard on him.
DD's last paper was today. Guess we will only know next week at the earliest. While she did well last term, her Math teacher had told the class that they were extremely careless in their Math paper... :xedfingers:
but so painful to see him lost marks due to carelessness and not getting the results that he is capable of, especially after working hard for it. -

( he have several models) . After spending hours to fix it, he'll enjoy them for a week or two, then dismantle them again... I'm also trying \"wean\" him off from buying more legos.... but he love them.

I always tell DS that most of the time it is not just how knowledgeable or how good a particular student is at the subject that differentiates between Band 1 and Band 2. Assuming all the students who took the exams have pretty similar intelligence or knowledge of the subject, it is ALWAYS the 'CAREFUL' ones who gets the highest score in the end. It it precisely the lack of this attribute that differentiates the 'Outstanding' students from the average ones.

Even more so when that 1 or 2 marks may mean an A instead of a B

Ds lost EIGHT marks to carelessness... all on the easy portion of the Math exam (i.e., Paper 1). He lost no marks on Paper 2. We're currently in discussion about resuscitating the C***.
Even more so when that 1 or 2 marks may mean and A instead of a B
He is still considering.
