i saw 2 SAP books; 1 is Tong Bu Lian Xi and 1 is Qiang Hua Lian Xi.

what's the diff ah?

I have been buying both titles every year...one for SA1 and the other for SA2 preparation. However, I like qiang hua lian xi more as it is of reasonable depth...not too easy nor diff, esp the Comprehension OE. There's one author whom I avoid getting...wu li jun. Her assessment is too tough...I also avoid those assessment with passages with qing/tang/dynasty type...my son is switched off.

No worries, we are all here to share to help out one another.
My friend recommended this title and I find it reasonably good-not too difficult like some SAP ones nor too easy like EPH. Have been getting this title faithfully every year.

Got an e-mail from DD1's CL T that she has lost marks in the Compre OE section for this SA2 :sad: ..although the paper 2 will only be given back to them next week. Any good recommendation?

My son lost majority of the marks in 短文填空 and Comprehension OE.
Time is tight as kids go upper level...I suggest you don't get a separate assessment just for Compre OE. 强化 compre passages are reasonably good.

All 3 of the books you posted are effective, targets the key areas of weaknesses and do-able (without supervision). First one (Victoria) is for SA2, 2nd one used for whole of this year.
Son still cant improve in his duan3 wen2 tian2 kong1 for this term. But his wan2 cheng2 dui4 hua4 scored full marks.

For the 2nd one, the P4 version came out this year. Didn't see if it has same format as P5. Mine is highlighted and terribly messy with corrections and post-it notes all over :oops:

Hi Jedamum,
完成对话 is part of the exam format. The other components are 语文应用 which covers 辨字测验，词语选择，短文填空，阅读理解 (MCQ) and (OE).

完成对话 not in my son exam paper this year. am confused coz I was told not to buy old edition before 2011. There is a change of format from this year p4 cohort. Can anyone who know confirm. 谢谢。
