Hi nic_rui,Hi to all mummies,
Delivered in July to my 1st baby boy.
He is on Nan HA Gold and breastmilk now.
Any advice on how or what food to start him with when he turns 6 months?
I wanna get prepared first coz I am not always in Singapore when I start work and have to stock up on whatever he needs. I will be starting work mid nov. am gonna miss him...
I usually start my kids with plain rice cereal and then move on to vege puree (pumpkin, sweet potatoes, carrots etc.). I find this website very useful as it provides a lot of info on what to give baby at different months/stages etc. http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com/babyfirstfoods.htm -
Thanks tigger88.What brand are you using?how often and which part if the day shd i feed him the rice cereal?
Northernstar:dont worry.they will sleep longer in the night.for my baby,he got fussier and needs more coaxing to get to sleep.i usually pat n rock him close to me before he dozes off.he wakes up when i put him down so i hv to try a few times b4 he sleeps on the bed. -
I used to buy the Heinz plain rice cereal but I think supermarkets are no longer selling them. Maybe you can try Nestle. Supermarkets do stock up a few different brands; some are organic too.
Usually I will try to feed my kids in the morning or early afternoon after milk feed but I really cannot recall the timing etc. Lost touch…I also need to read up more on this after my bb arrives in a few weeks time. -
Thks tigger.have a safe delivery.my baby boy is close to 4 months now.i am hoping to get preg with a baby gal.babies are so adorable and more so when they are your own.

Hi nic_rui,
Ya my fren told me i need be very patient when puttin my bb to sleep. Recently she likes to cry when she is finishin her milk while feedin. Dunno why like that.
My DD has alot of eye discharge from her left eye only. Any mom knows why? Tks

Hi northernstar,i actually find it adorable when i put my baby down on the bed and he cries n when i pick him up he falls asleep instantly in my arms.guess i m enjoying it coz they wont be so needy as they grow older.
When my baby was 2mths,he liked to sleep on his belly.think you can try that but make sure her nose is not covered n monitor her.u can ask ur pd coz i think boys like that position.
I think discharge is normal but if in doubt juz call the hospital or pd to ask. -

Hi Mummies…
I’m new here… in fact very new to forum… staying in Bukit Batok.
My mum is looking after my girl together with me in the daytime at Jurong East while I do part-time property. I’m waiting to select Casa Clementi SBF in Jan’12.
Gave birth to my first one… 3Mar’11. She’s now 8mths and yes… babies are sooo adorable!
Anyone attended any enrichment classes for those below 12mths? Not really that kiasu but just thought that it might spice up both our lives abit…
Also in a dilemma whether to select a childcare near to Clementi my future home, or near to my parents’ place at JE… -
