Just try it. Even if your child didnt get in, it will probably spur your child to work harder to prove that they are wrong in not choosing her. There’s no need to agonise over the DSA result.

Hi! My child is currently secondary one. He did quite well for his secondary one exams for instance, achieving 7A1's. I enrolled him to appeal out to Hwa Chong Institution secondary 2. They asked my child to take an entrance exam. May i know what are the chances that my child will get into this school? Does the school look at the entrance exam results only?

Congrat! I thought the DSA comes in Sec 1 followed by Sec 3 and not Sec 2? Well, if they have not rejected you, I feel there is still hope and your child still stand a good chance, especially they are welling to grand him an entrance test. In this case they do consider his performance in his past school academic performance, believe PSLE result also. Gook Luck!

Hi powergrape, was HCI one of your son's priority school during sec 1 selection ? He must have liked the school so much that his passion with the school is still on after one year. Congrat and all the best to get in HCI. I am happy for you.

Any parents know of school bus service from Woodlands to HCI (pick up point, time, fees, etc)? Also, do HCI students stay back late on Fridays or do they go back to school on Saturdays for CCAs or other activities? Would appreciate info. Thanks!

There should be school bus service from Woodlands, but I do not know the details.

Yes, some CCAs are on Friday and Saturday. In fact, many CCAs require the students to stay back for more than 1 day of the week. And I see many CCA activities on Friday afternoons.
