      small:
      MummyJamie:

      Sally baked some cookies to sell. ΒΎ of them were chocolate cookies and the remaning were almond cookies. After she sold 5/6 of the chocolate cookies and 210 almond cookies, she had 1/5 of the cookies left. How many cookies did she sell?

      That one was 960 right?

      Most of us got that. πŸ™

      Plese share your working,thanks.

      Chocolate Cookies : Almond Cookies
      3 : 1
      = 30 : 10

      30units / 6 = 5units ( left )

      Left:

      Chocolate Cookies : Almond Cookies
      30 : 10
      5 : 3

      30u + 10u = 40u
      40u / 5 = 8u ( cookies left )
      8u - 5u ( chocolates left ) = 3u ( almonds left )
      10u - 3u = 7u ( Almonds sold )

      7u -> 210
      1u -> 30
      25u + 7u = 32u
      32 x 30 = 960cookies

            PSLE Maths was tough for me. I was able to answer all the questions, though. For the angles/geometry one, most of my classmates got 120, 135 or 150. I used guess & check at first, but then used ratio and got 120. Anyone used ratio & got that too?
            mine daughter also use ratio and get 120

                  I remmember Q7. Curry puff shop sells puffs at $0.80.O50ffer:Buy 3 get 4th half price.If customer got $50, how many puffs can he buy if he buys as many as he can.

                  Ans: $2.40 ($0.80x3) + ($0.40) = $2.80
                  $50/$2.80=17R$2.40
                  $2.40/$0.80 = 3
                  17x3+3 = 54

                  Ans:54 😎 😎

                      Hi millan,
                      1 'set' = 3x0.80+0.40 = $2.80
                      50/2.80 = 17 R 2.40
                      $2.40 = 240 cents
                      240 cents/80 cents = 3
                      17 x 4 + 3 = 71 as 1 set got 4 curry puffs (3 at $0.80 and 1 at $0.40).
                      With $50, he can buy as many as 71 curry puffs
