GEP 2011 - Screening & Selection
-
hi sotongdad,
I had the same feeling as you when I finisehd reading the documents. Very very stressed. But after I talked to a mum who has a dd in GEP I feel much better. -
I was surprised by DS to received the yellow envelop too as over the last weekend I was preparing him not to pin too much hope on it after seeing his SA2 results.
Like what vlim had said, we are now stuck if the situation to choose to move out of his current sch a GEP sch or not, whatβs the chances of our transfer. We have now shifted house this year. -

So you more or less make up your mind to send your kid to GEP? I am worried that my DD will not be her happy cheerful self after she go GEP. If she is not happy, I will not be happy also. She will also miss her friends and all that. Already some of her friends bidding her farewell today already!
I think we will discuss with her again tonight and decide after attending this Saturday's talk. Dateline is 16th Nov yah? My DD told me her teacher asked that we submit the signed form tomorrow?? -

Congrats to all whose kids have been accepted into GEP.
I too had my concerns but my DS1 is sooo keen on it. DH and I had a chat with him and he is aware of the commitment level.
I saw a post about a mum whose child was made to take Higher Chinese after opting for the school. She mentioned the school is RS. I assume that this would be Rosyth? I am concerned as my DS1 isn't v strong in Mandarin. In short, he is the \"eat potato\" sort. Lol.
See u all at the briefing this weekend. We have a brief idea of what we will list as our 4 choices.
