on the new yellow extended Circle line mrt - which is the nearest mrt station to NUS High ? if there is, will be great.

from Geylang / Aljunied, your child can transit at Paya Lebar mrt, hop onto Circle line mrt.
it can be Buona Vista / One North / Kent Ridge

Thanks all for the reply 😄 My younger daughter is giving me headache...I'm afraid that her PSLE score would be to low to get in. Heard from one of my friends that her daughter get into SST her PSLE score was almost the same as my daughter but i was told that SST and NUSH is different as SST take \"O\" level, NUSH is IP. So the standard would be higher after all. Btw, is there any good tuition to intro?

Maybe u can borrow the textbooks from current NUSH S2/S3 students (as they use one combined textbook for their year 1 and year 2), and ask their guides to buy what kind of assessment books for your younger daughter to practice.

Hi, my daughter who scored 220-230 for PSLE would like to try to get into NUSH next year(2012) which she will be sec2 and apply for admission in year3. She has great interest in Math and Science is there any possiblities to get in?

think the process will be much the same as those applying for DSA at P6. Gotta get ready all your achievements, past yr results etc highlighting your strength in the subjects.

meanwhile, it's all good for you to find out what the nush yr1&2 have covered and run thru their notes. from there, u can roughly judge if u have much to catch up, or u can flow with the existing pupils.

                    all the best! 😄

hi Restless_Mum & those parents keen to seek transfer for child into NUS High AFTER Sec 1,

                      i rang up NUS High.

                      a) to address your concern - can your daughter still have any chance get in NUS High?

                      here is the reply:-

\"We do not take in Year 2 admission. Admission to Year 3 is based on the selection tests and interview outcome for shortlisted candidates only. The PSLE score is secondary, since past.\"

                      b) what Secondary 1 Science subjects are available ?
                      here is official reply:-

\"start from Year 1 - it is compulsory for students to take all 3 sciences in depth (pure Chemistry, pure Biology, pure Physics).

We do Not offer any Combined Science nor General Science, offered by mainstream Secondary schools.\"

                      c) any further inquiries, may call up school to ask.

                      telephone:- Tel: 65165429
