ACS group of schools? S$30k/place 😜 But I've got nothing to verify. haha. Just hearsay from students and ex-students. How much truth there is, I don't know.

There are also International schools like HC(international), ACS(International), SJI(International) that are all privately run, which they can apply to.

        I also think so ... But better don't speculate ... 😉

Afterall, the school is like a business enterprise - school need money, student need place...? I'm quite sure the International Schools accept though, bc I have friends who are private bankers helping their clients do placements for their children in these \"local\" international schools. ;D

those international schools - just pay the monthly fees will get in, probably around S$1200 to S$1500 per month

there are rich parents who already planned for the kids to go overseas uni, because don’t want the stress in SG schools…all line up for ACS(Int’l), HCI(Int’l), SJI(Int’l) etc

Not necessarily bc they want them to go overseas. But yes, rich. Most send their kids to these schools bc they don't like the alternative l local schools for their precious. Often these kids would have gotten either low 200s or even below 200. I know some of these among my kids former schoolmates.

Yes, rather than send their kids to neighbourhood secondary schools they send their kids to the international schools where they mingle with kids from the same background. A few enter at the end of Sec 2 when they can't handle Express stream.

                      OT a bit.

Anybody with P3 kids going into GE next year ?
Already got a foothold on DSA into one of the top schools.
Just work hard for it 😄

                        Hi ngbrdad,
I have been following this thread quite closely. Seemed like it is quite difficult for GEP students to get a CO this year. Besides, working on the 80%, what other things do you think are very critical in securing a CO?
Do you observe any difference between the RI and HCI selection criteria?
Other parents who have gone through the DSA with your child this year, can share your thoughts too. Thank you.
