choosing CCA is easy and smooth for us. We just shortlisted a few and cancelled those he doesnt like. Then, we let him rank them in order of his preference. Thereaft, we take a look and give him a few comments. For those we dun agree, we will explain to him why…and then we compromise and made the decision. He is not 100% happy with the chosen CCA but he understands why we disallow the cCA he wanted. A year into this CCA, he is ok with it.

I am quite keen on the horse riding CCA for my DS..do you know anything about it to share more?

Yikes, :yikes: if they end up with something not of their choice...OMG!!!Better hv a heart to heart talk with DS...he takes it very casually..changing his mind like every 5 mins :faint:

For my boy, he listens selectively. So, he heard that this particular CCA had something that he liked, he immediately indicated his interest in the CCA. :roll:

I am not sure, tink there is a cap to the nunmber for this CCA. It is conducted not in school premises so you may want to chk the logistics etc etc....Is the practice session during sch hours or outside school hours. Will there be bus to bring them there etc....? Need any practice session on Saturdays and if yes, can you make it...

What do you mean selected in Chinese Orchestra, Chinese Dance & Choir? If our DS & DD keen in joining sports if indicate their choice inside would be wasted? Eg Soccer, Table Tennis, Hockey, Basketball & Badminton. Only selected then play for the school team, can they just play as leisure? Does CCA would help in getting into secondary school when use in PSLE or just apply when they are using O levels?


Heard that horse riding have to pay extra $$ to rent the horse. Maybe a good choice if next time academic no good can be a jockey in Turf Club. Ha.ha!

That is precisely my concern esp logistically I have to ferry him to and fro esp on Sats..sigh!!!..i think i will talk to the teacher in charge later- Mr Arron Koh

One of our criteria for selection is \"no after school hour activities\" esp Sat. Cos we stayed far away so it is very \"troublesome\" to travel back to School on Sats plus he has enrichment classes on weekends.

It would be known when they get their report book on Monday 14 Nov 11. From the notification, 18 Nov 11 there is no school!
