choosing CCA is easy and smooth for us. We just shortlisted a few and cancelled those he doesnt like. Then, we let him rank them in order of his preference. Thereaft, we take a look and give him a few comments. For those we dun agree, we will explain to him why...and then we compromise and made the decision. He is not 100% happy with the chosen CCA but he understands why we disallow the cCA he wanted. A year into this CCA, he is ok with it.
i did somewhat the same but he still keeps changing his mind...DS is fickleminded.
I am quite keen on the horse riding CCA for my DS..do you know anything about it to share more? -
What do you mean selected in Chinese Orchestra, Chinese Dance & Choir? If our DS & DD keen in joining sports if indicate their choice inside would be wasted? Eg Soccer, Table Tennis, Hockey, Basketball & Badminton. Only selected then play for the school team, can they just play as leisure? Does CCA would help in getting into secondary school when use in PSLE or just apply when they are using O levels?
Heard that horse riding have to pay extra $$ to rent the horse. Maybe a good choice if next time academic no good can be a jockey in Turf Club. Ha.ha! -

That is precisely my concern esp logistically I have to ferry him to and fro esp on Sats..sigh!!!..i think i will talk to the teacher in charge later- Mr Arron Koh
In the CCA Option form it did mention additional training sessions outside cirrculum time -

One of our criteria for selection is \"no after school hour activities\" esp Sat. Cos we stayed far away so it is very \"troublesome\" to travel back to School on Sats plus he has enrichment classes on weekends.Dino mummy:

It would be known when they get their report book on Monday 14 Nov 11. From the notification, 18 Nov 11 there is no school!

i hope so too…but he has not gotten the english oral and compo results.
Dying to know wht he can still be in the best class. -
The top 3 in each class have to attend the Prize Ceremony where held on 18 Nov 11 in the afternoon.
Wonder the school would give the position based on entire P2 level. -

However, Preggie actually knows the compo results for her kids - so very contradicting info...
