I'd rather we just scrap all these phases. It should be, if you live within 1km of a school, you have automatic entry.

Near your place got popular pri sch n u think all vacancy should be given to within 1km. Near other ppl place may have cinema , famous bah kut teh etc, they also think they should have priority above any other factor.
Like tat how ? U dun let me go near your house hawker center , I dun let your child study in near my hse pri sch :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :?

yes, lets say if there is no phase 1,2 or 3 and everyone who lives within 1km should automatically gets in but there are only 240 places and more than 300 applicants. how?

the rule say within 1km radius mah, and the earth is round, not flat, remember ?

haha, then in densely populated hdb areas, only those living within 500m would get in............... :faint: :faint: :faint:

            Like that ah?
Then in flats/condos near popular schools, the lower floors will cost more than the higher floors! πŸ˜‚

eh, but it’s the other way round. The higher you stay on a condo floor, more expensive leh!

means … the registration rule should work opposite way - start with Top down approach, not bottom up. Within the same condo block - the higher up you stay, the child should enter first, before those children staying on lower storey.

But then that will be contradicting the priority by proximity rule, since the higher you are, the further you are from the school.

that is my point! even the lift takes longer to reach the top floor

property developer should consult ksp website on how to market low floor units

It is still best to work within the current system.
