its indeed very fortunate to be a old boy/gal of a good school. πŸ™‚

I was joking with a gf that we should tell our kids to make sure their spouse comes from a good primary school to spare them from all the anxiety.

I am from a gal's school and my firstborn is a son. oh well...
Now i am targeting Maha Bodhi. It seems really difficult to get in if we are not considered in Phase 2B. We are living 1-2km from the school. Kudos to them for not taking in PV but it makes life more difficult for me. I have no idea how to be more involved and an oppty into Phase 2B.

Having said all these, I admit I am kiasu. My kid is still v young.

For phase 2b, you need to be a member of sbf or grassroot.

I share the same thots. Kudos to Mbs for not accepting pv as they believe in not disappointing parents or wasting their time.

not sure if it applies to all levels but the P2s’ report book this year does not show level position any more, just class position. i would prefer level position to be shown so that we know where our kids stand in the cohort. on the other hand, i do agree that it could be quite demoralising for those kids whose level positions are in the hundreds.

Agree, I was also looking for the level position. Anyone knows when we would know the class assigned to next year (for P2s, next year P3)?

Oh, I recall it was stated in a letter from the P earlier this year that there would be 2 top classes based on the results while the rest would be distributed to mixed ability classes.

So far, there is one p3 top class. Whereas, p4-6 there are 2.

according to the letter, there is only 1 best class for p3 and p4 whereas there will be 2 best classes for p5 & p6.

for p3 class, think the kids will get to know which one they go when school re-opens next Jan (just like the current p3 batch this year).
