      if same passge but ask different questions, it is confusing for the kids esp if they just do the paper recently...is this good or bad?

      If same passage means kids would have understand the passage already, since they did it before. So even if different questions, should have no problem. Comprehension is testing the ability to understand the passage right?

        If the kid has understood the passage after the 1st trial, it will be good cos' they will be able to answer any questions about the passage. If the kid has just understood how to answer the 1st set of questions correctly, then, it's bad.

        So, it is always good to go through the passage with the child, to make sure he/she understands it, before going to tackle the questions that he/she has made mistakes.

            Yeah, if the score is the average, then T score is only 50. For CL, if your kid get a 100 mark, but since the paper is easy, he might only get 74 for T score. However, for math, since it is a difficult paper, she might get 90 for T score if she get all correct.

                I asked my girl about the compre again. She said last time she did before the passage is mango. Today paper is apple, story is the same, just change the fruit. Answer is honesty.

                  Can someone confirm if it's mango? My gal said apple.

                  It's apple.
                  maybe the one they did before is mango but the psle one they change to apple.(i just make a guess)
                  but if misread and wrote mango instead, marks will be penalised as the word \"apple\" appeared several times when you answered the question.

                  i remembered once in my girl exam, she copied the word from the passage wrongly, her teacher penalised her 1/2 mark for each time it appeared in the answer. so i had warned her .......open her eyes big big and see carefully the words in the passage.

                  so somehow it does matter whether it is mango or apple.

                    CrazyDad:
                    kids say this paper is very easy. If this is the case, it will be like normal, 2% of cohort <50>75 mark. This will probably contribute to standard deviation of <10, about 9 maybe and average of 78. You can estimate your score as followed;

                    Score\tAverage\tSTD DEV\tT Score
                    100\t78\t9\t74
                    85\t78\t9\t58
                    75\t78\t9\t47
                    I don't get it leh ... :?
