Hello fellow parents, thought I’d drop a note to say "hi". My older boy is entering P1 in 2012 and he is very excited to be going to his Papa’s school (and so is his Papa!). Any tips and suggestions for handling the transition to P1 will be most welcomed. The school is huge compared to his current Kindy, and as he is an introverted day dreamy kid, I think he will be over-whelmed initially. Luckily his cousin will be his buddy next year. Thanks in anticipation!

hi welcome to the family :welcome:

we didnt do anything to prepare ds and he is having lots of FUN.

hehe, maybe he is in pri1 this year, so things are a bit more easy and fun.

and i am sure his cousin would be able to show him more about the school.

                have fun.

there is another thread on \"coping with primary 1\" under academic preparation and support primary 1

Many thanks LOLMum for the warm welcome and useful information. Am not so concerned about the academic part, just as long as ds enjoys school and makes some friends, I am contented. His cousin bought him a school jacket last weekend at the Carnival, which he is very pleased with. Happy holidays!

Can anyone here share your experience to transfer P1 kid here?

How many classes of P1 for 2012?
Are there CCA for boys in P1/P2?
