beanstalk:
Beanstalk, she didn't have money to pay the OB&G so they basically left her as that. I spoke to the agent who was simply no help! :pokeeye: he told me to \"return her with a health declaration\" claiming that he didn't know the issues beforehand from his PH side. Yeah, :censored: get real!
Oh dear...and she's been with you only for 2 weeks. When the agent sent her to the OB&G, was any procedure done? If this was all done but not declared, can't you return her to the agent? What does the agent say?Andaiz:
Update on my maid.
Went to see the GP today; and he believes that she has POC (retained product of conception) which explains why she is still bleeding after all this time.
They've given her Norethisterone which is a synthetic progesterone; hopefully to stop the bleeding. If it doesn't, she'd have to go for a D&C.
Apparently this costs S$1000 which in the doctor's words, \"you are not obliged to pay.\"
At the docs, new issues revealed:
- She mentioned that she has had a positive pg test back in August in PH (why didn't the agent tell me?) but she refuted becoz she's still had her menses.
- apparently, there was another positive test in October but by then she had miscarried in late Sep, so the agent had her sent to the OB&G.
And when I went home to pick her up earlier on, she was limping becoz her heel was swelling. Oh what medical liabilities these are!beanstalk:
I am watching her for now, beanstalk...I know what you mean. With the medication, the bleeding has stopped or so she says (can only trust her right? How to check? She's not likely to be able to work, which is no help to you. Perhaps give her some compassion money and send her home for treatment? Medical fees in Singapore can bleed anyone dry. It's a difficult situation, especially since it involves someone who is basically a random stranger
We went for a birthday party yesterday and she claimed to be very tired and so she rested early. :scratchhead: I need to go away on business for 10 days so I'm bidding my time for now. When I'm back, the 10-day period for the medication to take effect would already be over....so we'd know for sure if she's okay.
Sigh, that's the bane of a working mother's life eh? Need a maid, but have to live with what is dished out to you :slapshead: -
Hi
How long does MOM take to approve the transfer of maid to another employer?
Thank u. -
i think the in-principal approval takes a week but the issuance of work permit in the system (not the actual card) is nstant, after the transfer is approved
-
thank you 24hr mum.I am still waiting for the transfer to be approved, then the agent will pick my maid up fr my place. Already 1 week now.

i just started my life without maid. wow, tiring.....but no black face to worry abt. -
jia you jia you!!!
I have survived without a maid for nearly 11 months. I have one toddler, one 3 year old gal and currently awaiting for the arrival of No.3 due in December.
I used to have a maid who often showed black face to me every now and then but not to my husband. When she finally showed her black face to my husband, she was sent back for holiday without a return ticket.
It happened on the day she was going back to PH for her 10 days holiday. Too bad, she showed her attitude and she got the boot.24hr-mum:

Save money and save my emotions!
