LOLMum:

water bottle is a must especially on pe days.

any water bottle is fine and kids do lose them pretty often. πŸ˜‰

so normal days can still bring right? cos not sure if the school has any water coolers but even if they have , dun really like my girl to use that. i used to see some children throw food or some vomit on the coolers itself, just the thought will make me

i also have issues with the water cooler so will get dd to fill up her bottle in student care before leaving for school. she can really drink if thirsty but I want her to avoid the cooler.

also got the free name short slim stickers for pasting on pencils, so i will ask my girl to paste the stickers on all pencils and ruler .I will need to help her though cos the sticker is only 0.3cm in width and 2cm long
Just to check, will the sticker on the pencils get stuck in the sharpener? Thanks

I’ve seen many different kinds of correction tapes in Popular.

Can anyone advise which brand / model of correction tape is recommended?
Just received the Carrefour Christmas Catalog. Deuter Geniuskids School bags are on sale : Small - $95 (original price $149), Medium - $105(OP $159) and Large - $115 (OP $169) each.

Heyya ksme, thanks for the heads-up on the Carrefour Deuter school bags.
DD1's old Deuter (2 yrs) still gg strong. πŸ˜‰ Bought at Causeway Point's
Kiddy Palace outlet during the Great Singapore Sale where they have 20%
storewide discount... around $90 plus. Definitely worth it. Am planning to
get for DD2 since she's gg to be in P3 next year, will have more books and
have to climb more stairs. She's small so Deuter's (S) size will be perfect
for her. I like how everything goes in nicely and the padding helps relieve
the weight off the kiddie's shoulders. Sometimes i complain to DD1 that
her bag weighs like a big rock but she insists that it's not heavy when
carried. Oh well... to Carrefour we go then! Thanks again for this lobang! :celebrate:

PS : Kiddy Palace now selling the (S) at $99.00 and the (M) at $109.00.

hey Buds, you are welcome. I think you can get additional 5% discount if you use POSB everyday card. Btw, you may want to consider getting an M for your DD1 and pass the small to your dd2. In upper primary, lots of books and files to carry. Actually, Impact is quite good too. Lasted 3 years for us. If Metro having sale at 49.90, definitely worth considering. πŸ˜‰
My DD1 is carrying an M now and have used it for 2nd year running and still in pristine condition. We don't normally hand-down bags for the kiddies. They each get new ones. πŸ˜‰ Impact bag, i tried it on DD yesterday at Metro Causeway Point. Too big and the bottom of the bag went below DD2's butt. I am a Metro member and plus it is my birthday this month so i get extra 20% but sadly not for the Deuter bags. 😞 I saw new designs at the end of the kids' toys' section and was sad to further find out i cannot use them for non-blue-tag items... member or non-member. πŸ˜›

How long did the catalogue say the price of Deuter will remain? If i am around town i don't mind getting from Carrefour but if not i may just get from Kiddy Palace or Metro lor. See how..

Thanks again, ksme.

hi,

i used to order from http://www.brightstarkids.com.au/
normally i order the clothes label and will get 40 tiny pencils labels free. That time exchange rate still okay and delivery to sg is AUD5 flat. Used to share with my frens so we split the Aud 5.i have to iron the clothes label cos my children tends to mix up their clothing in childcare but i still have spares to iron onto my girl skirt and shorts for primary 1. i got a lot of the pencil stickers with my girls name.below is how the pencil stickers look like. i think now as long as you order any other label, the 40 tiny pencil labels are free

alternative you can order those cartoons one at those make shift stall. a bit kiddo but cheaper.

We have a Brother Label Printer (great gift from gramps to my girls) that can do laminated label printing and even iron-on-fabric-labels. Cannot remember our model number off-hand, but with the Popular Bookfest coming.. can consider purchasing. They have various models that are very handy to carry anywhere and use.

The different label types, width and colours are easily available at Popular as well.
